اسرائیلی حکومت کے وزیر خارجہ نے دعویٰ کیا ہے کہ 2024 کے آغاز تک ریاض کے ساتھ ہمارے تعلقات معمول پر آ جائیں گے. اسرائیلی حکومت کے وزیر خارجہ نے دعویٰ کیا کہ ریاض اور تل ابیب اگلے سال کے آغاز تک اپنے تعلقات کو معمول پر لے آئیں گے۔ نیوز ایجنسی کی رپورٹ کے مطابق اسرائیلی حکومت کے وزیر خارجہ ایلی کوہن نے ایک انٹرویو میں دعویٰ کیا ہے کہ آئندہ سال (2024) کے آغاز تک سعودی عرب کے ساتھ تعلقات معمول پر آ جائیں گے۔

رشیا ٹو ڈے کی ویب سائٹ کے مطابق انھوں نے اسرائیلی فوج کے ریڈیو سے گفتگو میں کہا کہ یہ ناقابل تردید ہے کہ ہمارے اور سعودی عرب کے درمیان اب بھی اختلافات موجود ہیں لیکن ہم ان پر قابو پا کر بتدریج آگے بڑھ سکتے ہیں، اس لیے یقین ہے کہ ان تنازعات کو حل کرنے کے بعد ہم ٢٠٢٤ کے آغاز تک کسی معاہدے پر پہنچ جائیں گے۔

ایلی کوہن نے سعودی عرب کے ساتھ تعلقات کو معمول پر لانے کو اسرائیلی حکومت، بحرین اور متحدہ عرب امارات کے درمیان ٢٠٢٠ میں طے پانے والے نام نہاد “ابراہیم” معاہدے سے بڑا واقعہ قرار دیا اور اسے ایک “بڑا اور تاریخی قدم” قرار دیا۔
