امریکی ریاست کولوراڈو کی سپریم کورٹ نے ایک فیصلے میں اعلان کیا ہے کہ کیپٹل ہل پر حملے میں ملوث ہونے کی وجہ سے ڈونلڈ ٹرمپ سنہ دوہزار چوبیس کے انتخابات میں امیدوار بننے کے اہل نہیں ہیں۔ ریاست کولوراڈو کی عدالت کے فیصلے میں کہاگیا ہے کہ اس عدالت کے سات میں سے چار ججوں کا خیال ہے کہ ٹرمپ کو ریاستہائے متحدہ کے آئین کی چودہویں ترمیم کی تیسری شق کی بنیاد پر صدر کے عہدے کے لیے نااہل قرار دیا گیا ہے۔

امریکی تاریخ میں یہ پہلا موقع ہے کہ کسی عدالت نے صدارتی امیدوار کو اٹھارہ سو اڑسٹھ کی شق کے تحت نااہل قرار دیا ہے۔ ٹرمپ کی انتخابی مہم کے ترجمان اسٹیون چونگ نے ایک بیان میں کہا ہے کہ اس فیصلے پر نظر ثانی کے لئے اپیل دائر کی جائے گی۔

اسٹیون چونگ نے اس بات کا ذکر کرتے ہوئے کہ ڈیموکریٹک پارٹی کے لیڈروں کو متعدد سروے رپورٹوں میں ٹرمپ کی برتری کی وجہ سے پریشانی لاحق ہے اس لئے وہ اگلے نومبر میں امریکی ووٹرز کے ذریعے ان کو وائٹ ہاؤس میں جانے سے روکنے کے لیے ہر ممکن کوشش کر رہے ہیں۔

واضح رہے کہ اس وقت ٹرمپ کی نااہلی سے متعلق اسی طرح کے کیسز ٹیکساس، نیواڈا اور وسکانسن سمیت تیرہ دیگر امریکی ریاستوں میں زیر غور ہیں۔
