پاکستان انٹرنیٹ کی بندش اور سوشل میڈیا پر پابندیاں ختم کرے، امریکہ کا مطالبہ

امریکی محکمہ خارجہ نے پاکستان میں انٹرنیٹ کی بندش، جس میں سوشل میڈیا پلیٹ فارمز پر پابندیاں بھی شامل ہیں، کی مذمت کرتے ہوئے پاکستانی حکومت پر زور دیا ہے کہ وہ ایسی پابندیاں ختم کرے۔ انٹرنیٹ مانیٹرنگ کرنے والے اداروں نے پاکستان میں انتخابی بے ضابطگیوں کے دعووں اور احتجاج کے بعد انٹرنیٹ کی بندش اور پابندیوں کی نشاندہی کی ہے۔

امریکی محکمہ خارجہ کے ترجمان میتھیو ملر نے بدھ کے روز صحافیوں کو بتایا، ’’ہمیں پاکستان میں اظہار رائے اور وابستگی کی آزادی پر پابندیوں کی ہر رپورٹ پر تشویش ہے۔ ان میں حکومت کی جانب سے عائد کردہ جزوی یا مکمل انٹرنیٹ شٹ ڈاؤن اور سوشل میڈیا پلیٹ فارمز پر پابندیاں بھی شامل ہیں۔‘‘
میتھیو ملر نے کہا کہ واشنگٹن نے پاکستان پر زور دیا ہے کہ وہ اظہار رائے کی آزادی کا احترام کرے اور ٹوئٹر (ایکس) سمیت سبھی سوشل میڈیا پلیٹ فارمز تک رسائی بحال کرے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ امریکہ کے خدشات سے پاکستان کو سرکاری سطح پر آگاہ کر دیا گیا ہے۔
