اوریشکن نے ایم کے کو بتایا کہ روس کا انفرادی حجم یورپی ممالک کے ساتھ سازگار موازنہ کرتا ہے، جسے آپ جمہوریت کہتے ہیں۔ ان کا کہنا تھا کہ مغرب میں یہ تاثر پایا جاتا ہے کہ صدر پوتن محض آئندہ انتخابات کا سوچتے ہیں جبکہ حقیقت تو یہ ہے کہ صدر پوتن آئندہ کئی دہائیوں کی منصوبہ بندی کرتے ہیں۔

اوریشکن نے اس بات کی طرف اشارہ کیا کہ سن 2000 کے بعد جب صدر پوتن پہلی بار صدر منتخب ہوئے تھے تو روس میں کتنی تبدیلی آئی ہے، جیسے روس میں اوسط عمر میں اضافہ، عام آدمی کی آمدنی میں اضافہ، روس میں معاشی استحکام یہ سب روسی صدر کی معقول پالیسیز کا نتیجہ ہے۔
