کریملن کے ترجمان دیمتری پیسکوف نے بتایا کہ روسی صدر ولادیمیر پوتن نے ٢٠٢٤ میں ریاست کے سربراہ کے لیے انتخاب لڑنے کے لیے تمام ضروری کاغذی کارروائی روسی سنٹرل الیکشن کمیشن سی ای سی کو جمع کرادی ہے۔ میڈیا کی طرف سے پوچھے گئے ایک سوال کے جواب میں ترجمان روسی صدر دیمتری پیسکوف نے اثبات میں جواب دیا اور کہا کہ آج روسی صدر پوتن نے الیکشن کمیشن کو آئندہ صدارتی انتخابات میں حصہ لینے کی غرض سے کاغذات نامزدگی جمع کروا دئیے ہیں.

واضح رہے آئندہ برس ہونے والے صدارتی انتخابات میں صدر پوتن آزاد امیدوار کے طور پر انتخاب لڑ رہے ہیں۔ روس میں صدارتی انتخاب کے قانون کے مطابق انھیں ٥٠٠ رجسٹرڈ ووٹرز کو اکٹھا کرنا تھا جو ان کی مہم کی حمایت کرتے ہیں۔ اس گروپ کا اجلاس ١٦ دسمبر کو ہوا، اور شرکاء نے متفقہ طور پر صدر پوتن کی حمایت کی۔
