نجی ٹی وی ایکسپریس نیوز کے مطابق نوجوان کرکٹر نے پاکستان کی خاطر متحدہ عرب امارات (یو اے ای) کرکٹ بورڈ کو سینٹرل کنٹریکٹ ختم کرنے کا نوٹس بھیج دیا ہے جس کیلئے پی سی بی نے انہیں قانونی مشاوت فراہم کی۔عثمان خان اگر پاکستانی ٹیم کیلئے نہ کھیلنے کو ترجیع دیتے تو وہ آئندہ برس یو اے ای کی ٹیم سے کھیلنے کے حقدار بن جاتے تاہم انہوں نے پاکستانی ٹیم کو مستقبل بنایا ہے۔

امارات کرکٹ بورڈ نے ان کو مالی مشکلات سے بچانے کیلئے سینٹرل کنٹریکٹ بھی دیا تھا، رواں سال آئی ایل ٹی20 میں انھوں نے مقامی کھلاڑی کی حیثیت سے گلف جائنٹس کی نمائندگی کی تھی،گوکہ وہ پاکستانی پاسپورٹ ہولڈر تھے لیکن اسکے باوجود بھارتی اونر کی فرنچائر میں بطور لوکل پلئیر شمولیت اختیار کی۔

انکا آئی ایل ٹی میں 50 ہزار ڈالر (یعنی تقریبا ایک کروڑ 40 لاکھ پاکستانی روپے) معاوضہ ملا تھا۔
